2012 Sun & Fun Fly-In at Lakeland, FL

Has it been December 2011 since I last posted here? I have got to do better!
The 2012 Sun & Fun Fly-In starts on Tuesday March 27th and runs through the weekend. Lots to do at Sun & Fun and our favorites are Matt Younkin's aerobatic routine in the Twin Beech 18, Julie Clark in her T34, and the NIGHT aerobatic show which is Friday night only!
The only flying B-29 will be there and we certainly want to get a close look at that for sure!

We will be attending the event again this year as a sales rep for Maule Air at booth AC-1.
We will have the NEW M-9-235 there with a stunning red and black paint scheme and red leather interior. It is quite beautiful and stronger with many upgrades. I could show you a photo but that is top secret for now. You will have to come to the show to see it!

Come by and mention our blog. We would love to see you and shake your hand. Have a safe flight or drive to the show.

Till next time............... RL, Sr

44th Annual Thomasville, GA Fly-In - KTVI

This fly in is our home show venue so we were able to take lots of products and set up the BIG booth with the Maule in static display, 2 motorcycles, 4 tables, and 2 canopies. This 3 day fly-in begins on Friday but we were set up and ready for business by mid day Thursday. The weather was looking good on Weds. but a stubborn low pressure system in Southern Florida moved slowly up the coast bringing lots of rain and low ceilings throughout the state. Many of those attending the Thomasville Fly-In come from middle Florida. By Friday it was obvious the weather was going to put a dent in the the fly in but that is the way things are with outdoor events. The wind blew hard for the whole event but it didn't rain! Plenty of folks still came to marvel at the aircraft on display and enjoy being at the airport. All in all the Thomasville Fly In was a success and we look forward to being there next year. Come join us for the fun!!

The 5th Annual Triple Tree Fly-In enjoyed beautiful weather!

Triple Tree Aerodrome is located near Enoree, SC and is a beautiful place for a fly-in. Tropical storm Lee was making a hasty exit to the North early in the week which left great weather for the fly in. We arrived at the airstrip early Thursday and set up the Maule in static display. We unloaded and set up the vendor booth and was ready for customers by noon. There were lots of folks camping with many airplanes parked on the huge airfield. I counted 132 on Friday night and most of people were camped in the surrounding woods (us included). By Saturday noon there were over 400 aircraft at the field with many fly bys and demonstrations during the day. It was a hoot! People were having lots of fun and customer traffic in the booth was brisk with many RLM/AV T-shirts sold! For those of you that did not attend, we look forward to seeing you in central South Carolina next year!
