MOBILE DETAILING SERVICE

Effective June 1st! After much planning and equipment preparation we have launched our mobile detailing service! We offer basic wash, full detailing and polishing for aircraft, autos, RVs, boats, and of course motorcycles. We are proud to offer this excellent service which includes the proper washes, degreasers, and other chemicals required for the job. For aircraft cleaning our products meet all EPA standards and Boeing specification #D6-17387 for aircraft interiors/exteriors to prevent unwanted corrosion or other finish problems. In addition, we offer waterless exterior cleaning if desired.

Our detailing trailer is fully self contained and we bring everything we need to complete your job. We don't have to use your water or electricity and we won't ask to borrow things from your hangar or garage! Don't laugh, some companies are notorious for this. We show up ready to work and our representative will be dressed properly and will be courteous. Here at RL Motorcycles & Aviation, LLC we pride ourselves in doing things both properly and correctly and this will also be true with our new detailing service.

We will serve detailing customers within 35 miles of Thomasville, GA (and further on special request). For an appointment or quote just give us a call at: 229-228-0253 or 229-221-2323. We look forward to hearing from you!

2012 Sun & Fun / 2012 Maule M-9 235!

Sun & Fun 2012, held at Lakeland, FL (LAL) had lots of both sun and fun! There was beautiful weather and cooler temps which made everyone there happy. There was lots to do and of course lots of eye candy there, too (airplanes). I had never seen a B-29 even in static display so watching the B-29 "FiFi" take off was a special treat. I even got to chat with one of her crew: country singer Aaron Tippin. A real down home guy.

We talked with lots of customers and the response to the new 2012 Maule M-9 235 was most enthusiastic. Pilots really seem to appreciate all the years of investment and testing to bring about a new type Maule with a 300lb up gross. This aircraft is now FAA certified with the Lycoming IO-540 235HP and 2800lb gross weight. That will put useful load in the 1100lb range!!! Now that is hauling! Of course, the outstanding flying performance is the same as with all Maule STOL aircraft.

On April 19th 2012 I was asked my Maule Air to fly the lead airplane for a photo shoot with AOPA magazine who is doing a feature story on the new Maule M9. I flew with Brent Maule and photographer Chris Rose while Al Marsh of AOPA flew with Raymond Maule in the new M9. We flew down to the Gulf coast near St.Marks, FL for a beautiful back drop for the shoot which included the St. Marks lighthouse. Flying at 500' in tight formation (50 feet +/-)for an hour is demanding and hard work! The photos look wonderful and Al writes very well so look for the story in an upcoming issue of AOPA magazine.... RL, SR

2012 Sun & Fun Fly-In at Lakeland, FL

Has it been December 2011 since I last posted here? I have got to do better!
The 2012 Sun & Fun Fly-In starts on Tuesday March 27th and runs through the weekend. Lots to do at Sun & Fun and our favorites are Matt Younkin's aerobatic routine in the Twin Beech 18, Julie Clark in her T34, and the NIGHT aerobatic show which is Friday night only!
The only flying B-29 will be there and we certainly want to get a close look at that for sure!

We will be attending the event again this year as a sales rep for Maule Air at booth AC-1.
We will have the NEW M-9-235 there with a stunning red and black paint scheme and red leather interior. It is quite beautiful and stronger with many upgrades. I could show you a photo but that is top secret for now. You will have to come to the show to see it!

Come by and mention our blog. We would love to see you and shake your hand. Have a safe flight or drive to the show.

Till next time............... RL, Sr
